Does this present an Opportunity?

Everyone knows the phrase "Everything happens for a reason." What does this saying mean to you? For me, it means everything.

I think of myself. I am a 24 year old woman. I have made a chose not to go to school, I have decided that network marketing is the best option that will provide me and my family the opportunity of freedom and also the fulfillment of helping millions of people. I believe this with all my heart.

I am also the person I am today because of what I've been exposed to all of my life. For example while I was growing up I learned from my parents. I accepted their opinions and ideas and made them mine as well. This was all I knew. As I've gotten older and also the help of my mastermind group I've learned to be a critical thinker and think of everything I've learned and analyze it. But to go back to what I was saying, everything happens for a reason. I am thankful for everything I learned when I was younger, I feel that it led me to networking. But now I have the understanding of a critical thinker.

The point I want to drive here is this: we are given many options all the time. We come to different chooses and decisions. Every opportunity that we are confronted with- SEE THE GOOD. For example, let's say you have a good job of 10 years. You love your job, it is just what you want for your life. Then the company is forced to down size and you are one of the employees that has to go. At first you will be devastated. You may feel angry, scared, and unsure of your future. After sometime after you calm down you may take this time to reflect on your life and what will be your next step. At this point you are opening your mind to possible outcomes. You are allowing your mind to work, remember your mind is a problem solver. You may find out later that you have an option to have a much better job with better pay, better hours, better boss.

Another example may be you are making dinner and there are certain ingredients that your recipe needs to make it. Let's say you're in the middle of making everything and you realize you are missing something. At first you may be upset, you're thinking the meal isn't going to taste good and that your family may not like the taste. But then you start to think and you realize that you can use another ingredient. You taste is and the meal is still very good. You really didn't need that certain ingredient after all.

So everything that happens in life whether good or bad, take a moment to look at the situation and see what the opportunity is.

No Wonder your Business isn't Growing

There is a stat that states that 95% of Network Marketers build their business part-time. That is almost all of us. Most people suggest working 20 hours a week, I personally think this is a great number. But I've also heard other well know gurus suggest 7-9 hours a week. It doesn't matter, I guess it has to do with you and how fast YOU want to reach your goals.

Now what if you're having a hard time finding those hours to build your business? At this point it is important to find out what you are doing. Find out what you are doing with your time during the 24-hour day. Some gurus recommend having a calender and writing down all of your plans for the entire month ahead. This will include sleep, eating, shopping, exercise, family time, worship, and also your business, and please don't forget to take time for yourself, this is so important. You must take care of you before you can help others.

If you are having a hard time finding time to build your business, there is something missing. It's time to take a good look at where you are and what you are allowing yourself to spend time on.

It's also important to take a good hard look at your WHY. You have to have a dream, a vision. You need to know where you're going. You need to know what you're going to do with your life. If you are not excited about your WHY no wonder you can't find time to work your business. You have to have that strong Desire to make your dreams come true. No body can build your business for you, only you can do that. You are the one in control.

I Give you the Praise

Something I want to talk about today is something that I think will help with the growth of your team. And it's so simple but it is Praise.

People loved to me praised. Think about it. How often do we get complimented on things? How often do we get recognized? Can you think of how someone feels when they do receive a kind comment? Their heart lights up, they smile and it builds their confidence. It makes them feel good about themselves. You just gave them a boost.

Praising someone on their actions is huge. If they see that they are being recognized and appreciated they will want to work harder because they know they are doing the right thing.

So that's my thought for the day. Praise your people. Encourage them that they're doing a great job. They will appreciate you too as a leader.

Is JOY Involved?

I am just fired up about my personal development I've been doing lately. The past couple of days we've been talking about having a Purpose and working towards it. Having a plan of Action.

What I want to talk about is having a Passion for your Purpose. Have you ever noticed people working their job and they are unhappy with it? Come on, I notice it, I know you see it too. Do you think they have passion for their job? I don't think so.

What about you? Are you passionate about what you're doing? Are you happy and excited to do what you do? It's been said:

*Find out what you are Passionate about (something you absolutely love) and Find a way to make a living doing it.

Now that is a pretty generic statement so you can apply that to any industry and make it work. But let's think about the industry you and I are currently building and that is MLM/Network Marketing. Are you enjoying what you're doing? Do you get excited when it's time to start building your business for the day?

For me it excites me to know that I am helping people. I know this is part of my purpose. I have the potential to help thousands of people with my business and also through the system that I offer. What about you? Do you see yourself creating a change? Are you passionate about what you're doing? Think about it..

Let's be Frank, WHY are YOU here?

Have you ever heard the saying "Everything happens for a reason." ? I've heard it thousands of times, and I believe it. I suppose you could say the reason is connected with a purpose. So what is your purpose for where you are today? What's the WHY behind everything you do?

If you have a purpose or a strong reason WHY then you must plan what your activities are that will connect with your reason and make it come to be. For example, let's say you wanted to start a shelter to rescue abused horses. What would be some of the actions you would take to make that happen? First off you would want to find some land. You would want to make plans to have a barn. You would arrange to have it built. You may find volunteers to help with the horses. Etc. You get the idea.

Well think of the same thing but this time think about what your life purpose REALLY is and what that means to you. One of my mentors says that your WHY or your purpose should make you cry. It should really MEAN something to you. I have a friend and her why is to travel the country and see her kids and grand kids. For this reason she has made a plan. A plan of action.

I write this to show that we all need to be aware of why we're building a business. Is it just a hobby OR is it much more than that? Do you want to OWN YOUR LIFE? Take a moment to think about that........get lost in the moment, what does it mean to own your life?

In that moment where did you go? What did you see? Who was there? What were you doing? This is so important for our success. So please take the time for yourself to create a Reason and then create a Plan of Action.

As always to YOUR Success,
Stefanie

Complaining and Blaming in MLM

I am reading a new book right now and I wanted to share a thought that came up while I was reading yesterday. This little blog is a bit connected with the blog I posted a couple of days ago about being accountable for yourself and you are the only person in control of yourself and you actions and where you are in life. This is important if you ever want to go anywhere in life.

The topic the book was talking about was complaining. Now we have been learning that it's important to be aware of your thoughts and to change them if they are negative because they can control your thinking and in turn create your actions, good or bad.

The point the book was making was that complaining never gets you anywhere. It asked the thought provoking question: Have you ever noticed how when your at work you complain about your spouse? And when you go home you complain about your job? In both cases nothing is being resolved, your spouse and your job will continue to be the same UNLESS something is done to Create a new outcome. If you have a problem at your job, confront the situation or talk to your boss. Or get a new job! And about your spouse talk with your spouse about what's bothering you about your marriage or change the situation and get divorsed.

You have to remember that where you are today is where YOU have taken yourself. The decisions you've made are what put you in this situation. We create our lives. Nothing is handed to us to make us a certain way. We all have free will.

This also has to do with blaming other people for where you are in life. Be accountable for your life.

If you yearn to be successful then YOU have to make it happen. I read something this morning about what Orrin Woodward wrote in one of his latest blogs and he mentioned that we live in a microwave society. We get credit cards and max them out and pay them back later. We expect for things to just happen. We think if we just hang on things will eventually fall into place. It would be nice if this worked but that's why they call it NetWORK Marketing, it takes Time and Work. Woodward says it will take 2-5 years.

Are you ready to own your life? It begins by being accountable for yourself. If you realize that what you've been doing isn't working, you may consider being open to learning something new.

To Your Success,
Stefanie

ACT to Achieve

Do you want a hand out or a hand up? In other words do you want something given to you or do you want to be taught how to do something? One thing that holds a lot of people back from receiving success is the simple fact that they don't hold themselves accountable and they don't take responsibility for their own actions.

Wow, that's a lot to take in at once, but think about it, it's true. Are we expecting things for free? Do we expect our upline to provide our distributors for our organization? Is our family telling others about our amazing products? Are they REALLY trying to help me grow my business. If not they must not care.

These feelings are important to recognize. I have to be honest I have felt this before and these feelings are Wrong! The only person I am responsible for is ME. If I want more success in life and in my business, I am the only one that can control that. I know I need to be better and one of the things I need to remember is that if I want more I have to become more.

I feel you can't move forward unless you come to realize this. And that's why it's so important to be aware of what you're thinking about. If you are thinking negative thoughts like this, be aware of them and change them. Be positive, encourage yourself to take the next step. You can be successful in this business. YOU can do it! But the keyword there is YOU.

Sometimes we can allow our past, age, gender, personality, etc. as an excuse for our lack of success. We can use it as a crutch. We can allow it to hold us back. For example for the next company convention you would like to be recognized for an accomplishment but in the back of your mind you say to yourself "I'm not good at this business, maybe I'm not meant to be in this business" " I'm not reaching my goals, I'll never get there". These both are negative thoughts. They WILL hold you back from EVER reaching your goals and ever moving forward. Again the ONLY person in charge of you is YOU.

Please remember that You are worth it! You are worth it! Believe in yourself!! Believe. I believe in me, let's reach our goals together!!

Your Friend,
Stefanie
