The story of the Ant

Do you remember the story about the ant and the grasshopper? If not I'll add the short story here for you:

It was a summer month and the grasshopper was happy and jumping around having a good time playing. He stumbled upon the ant who was carrying a piece of corn to the nest. The grasshopper said why don't you quit working and play, there is lots of food here.

But the ant knew winter was coming and that when it was cold, food would be scarce. So the ant continued his work. Sure enough winter came and the ant was prepared for it. He had a nice nest and plenty of food. The grasshopper at this time realized that he should not of been playing all summer but should of been working.

This story has been in my head a lot the past day or so. And it reminds me of how we can be in network marketing. It takes time for our business to grow. So we have to be patient and we have to be willing to put in the work. We may have to work all summer long and then see the reward in the winter time.

I believe with all my heart that if we put in the time and work that our success will come. So don't give up. Continue to do what you need to do to make it happen. Believe me it will be worth it! I believe in you.

Bucket List

I really believe it is important to know where you're going in life. If you have an idea of what you'd like to do with your life then you can create a plan of action to make it happen.

I have an affirmation that I say daily that states my goal. It says what I will receive, when I will receive it and what I will do in turn in order for it to happen. I have learned it's important to say this out loud daily and express it with feeling. May sound funny but it is a way for you to control your subconscious mind and make it work in accord with your plan. Like riding a horse, you are in control of the horse even though you aren't the one walking.

During my personal development the other day I was told to stop reading and write down a list of things I wanted to achieve in my life. At first I thought "I don't need to do this, I already know." Then I got to thinking about it and I thought this man is a millionaire surely he knows what the heck he's talking about.

He had stated that his list consisted of 101 things. At first I thought I don't have that many goals, but I started writing #1 and then #2 before I knew it I was to #39!! It's amazing what thoughts come out of your mind when you start putting your mind to work.

For now I am making my list. After that is complete I will go to each goal and create a plan of action and date that it will happen.

Something I also read recently is if you are not excited each morning when you wake up then you don't have enough goals. You don't have much to look forward to. Wow, what a thought..

So please take the time to be a dreamer and be sure to remember that you are the one in control of yourself. If you want freedom for your life then make it happen!

Much love,

Does this present an Opportunity?

Everyone knows the phrase "Everything happens for a reason." What does this saying mean to you? For me, it means everything.

I think of myself. I am a 24 year old woman. I have made a chose not to go to school, I have decided that network marketing is the best option that will provide me and my family the opportunity of freedom and also the fulfillment of helping millions of people. I believe this with all my heart.

I am also the person I am today because of what I've been exposed to all of my life. For example while I was growing up I learned from my parents. I accepted their opinions and ideas and made them mine as well. This was all I knew. As I've gotten older and also the help of my mastermind group I've learned to be a critical thinker and think of everything I've learned and analyze it. But to go back to what I was saying, everything happens for a reason. I am thankful for everything I learned when I was younger, I feel that it led me to networking. But now I have the understanding of a critical thinker.

The point I want to drive here is this: we are given many options all the time. We come to different chooses and decisions. Every opportunity that we are confronted with- SEE THE GOOD. For example, let's say you have a good job of 10 years. You love your job, it is just what you want for your life. Then the company is forced to down size and you are one of the employees that has to go. At first you will be devastated. You may feel angry, scared, and unsure of your future. After sometime after you calm down you may take this time to reflect on your life and what will be your next step. At this point you are opening your mind to possible outcomes. You are allowing your mind to work, remember your mind is a problem solver. You may find out later that you have an option to have a much better job with better pay, better hours, better boss.

Another example may be you are making dinner and there are certain ingredients that your recipe needs to make it. Let's say you're in the middle of making everything and you realize you are missing something. At first you may be upset, you're thinking the meal isn't going to taste good and that your family may not like the taste. But then you start to think and you realize that you can use another ingredient. You taste is and the meal is still very good. You really didn't need that certain ingredient after all.

So everything that happens in life whether good or bad, take a moment to look at the situation and see what the opportunity is.

No Wonder your Business isn't Growing

There is a stat that states that 95% of Network Marketers build their business part-time. That is almost all of us. Most people suggest working 20 hours a week, I personally think this is a great number. But I've also heard other well know gurus suggest 7-9 hours a week. It doesn't matter, I guess it has to do with you and how fast YOU want to reach your goals.

Now what if you're having a hard time finding those hours to build your business? At this point it is important to find out what you are doing. Find out what you are doing with your time during the 24-hour day. Some gurus recommend having a calender and writing down all of your plans for the entire month ahead. This will include sleep, eating, shopping, exercise, family time, worship, and also your business, and please don't forget to take time for yourself, this is so important. You must take care of you before you can help others.

If you are having a hard time finding time to build your business, there is something missing. It's time to take a good look at where you are and what you are allowing yourself to spend time on.

It's also important to take a good hard look at your WHY. You have to have a dream, a vision. You need to know where you're going. You need to know what you're going to do with your life. If you are not excited about your WHY no wonder you can't find time to work your business. You have to have that strong Desire to make your dreams come true. No body can build your business for you, only you can do that. You are the one in control.

I Give you the Praise

Something I want to talk about today is something that I think will help with the growth of your team. And it's so simple but it is Praise.

People loved to me praised. Think about it. How often do we get complimented on things? How often do we get recognized? Can you think of how someone feels when they do receive a kind comment? Their heart lights up, they smile and it builds their confidence. It makes them feel good about themselves. You just gave them a boost.

Praising someone on their actions is huge. If they see that they are being recognized and appreciated they will want to work harder because they know they are doing the right thing.

So that's my thought for the day. Praise your people. Encourage them that they're doing a great job. They will appreciate you too as a leader.
